A Moment of Levity, Hardcore-style

I was recently walking into a chain-styled bar/restaraunt here in Toledo with my friend Sean to get some lunch before band practice. We were animately debating the value of a variety of early hardcore records - Black Flag, Minor Threat, Necros, Void, etc. - when we pulled open the doors. As we sat down, Sean starts laughing his ass off. I say ‘what the fuck?’ He points out that the two middle-aged yuppie women who walked out when we were walking in might not know much about the early Circle Jerks discography and thus might have misunderstood my empassioned exclaimation that ‘dude, Group Sex is fucking awesome!’

Not only is Group Sex a great “classic” album, but it is also very timely as history repeats itself- just listen to the song Paid Vacation!
