It’s a sad day for a lot of folks in LA.

In the early morning, the South Central Farm was surrounded by Sherrif’s deputies. By noon, everyone on the farm had been forcibly evicted. Dozens of people struggling to save the farm from destruction were arrested.

Farmers and their supporters gathered as close as they could get to the police-barricaded farm.

By early afternoon, observers on nearby rooftops were reporting that crops were already being bulldozed.

Farmer-organizers say they will struggle on.
