Bush Agenda Comes with $3 Trillion Price Tag

The Washington Post reported today that that the agenda President Bush has proposed during his campaign would cost a whopping $3 trillion over the next ten years. This is according to Bush administration numbers. According to the Brookings Institution, the number should be closer to $4 trillion. The Post piece quotes a number of conservative organizations upset with this big-government spending.

Clamor readers will recall reading about this issue first in our Stop Bush/Start Democracy issue. Norman Ball’s hilarious piece “The Priviliged Few and the Budgeted Many” predicted how President Bush’s abudgetal tendancies could push conservatives towards class war.
