I bought Palast’s “The Joker’s Wild” and eagerly unwrapped it to see all the bad guys from a Democrat’s viewpoint. I was very disappointed to find that he managed to put Vernon Jordan, the Clintons, and Al Gore in there as 4,5 and 6 of diamonds. Jeez, did he run out of rotten people in the administration or current affairs? I could have helped him out there. Of all the good Clinton did, I don’t see why he had to focus on the negative. He himself has said his worst mistake was backing NAFTA, which he did reluctantly. My point is, he had no reason to run out of bad guys on the other side. You can be sure if a deck were to be printed aiming at Democrats, no one would throw in even one Republicans. For me, it ruined my ability to show off the deck of cards.

Beverly, I’m sorry you feel that way, but it’s come high time to realize that there are crooks on both sides of our two-party system. That’s not to say they ALL are, of course, but if you aren’t willing to accept that Bill Clinton has a whole lot of blood on his hands, then you are willfully ignoring it. In either event, you’re reading Clamor, and that’s a positive step in stepping outside of the left/right paradigm that’s made America the crazy sycophantic place it’s become. Best wishes.
