If there were year-end awards for the best grassroots use of radio*, at least one of those awards would have to go to Holler to the Hood’s “Calls From Home” project . H2H is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the radio call-in show that broadcasts greetings from families of prisoners live on the air. This year the program will be offered nationwide through the Pacifica Radio Network and to community radio stations around the country. The show will air December 20 from 7-10pm EST and the toll free number to call is 888-396-1208.
