‘I Thought We Were the Good Guys’
We here at Clamor have as our mission giving voice to progressives who would otherwise not be heard in the mainstream media. And while we are big boosters of indy media, we are willing to credit mainstream media when they help accomplish our goals. Today’s Guardian is a perfect example.
By publishing e-mails sent from Iraq to Michael Moore by American troops on the ground, the Guardian does a real service to both the troops and the debate. Tragically, if unsurprisingly, the missives make chilling reading and any brane-challenged folks who still think this war was a good idea will have much to think about after reading them.

Speaking of Michael Moore, it looks like right-wingers are once again on the move to get him free press. The Michigan Republican Party has asked prosecutors to charge Moore w/ bribery for a get-out-the-vote stunt in which he gave out free gifts like underwear and raman noodles.
