I always teach my students (I am not tenured nor ever shall be because I AM A DISSIDENT in spirit and action) never to speak in all-inclusive generalities… as in right-wingers and lefties and 9/11 victims. Otherwise, I must agree with some of the points made by Churchill. Besides, he must be permitted to express his opinion. Academe and academics are horrendously cowardly with that regard. Remember that the left also HATES those who would exercise free speech and expression. The left and the right form the machine, not just the right. “Let your life be a counterfriction to stop the machine,” had written Henry David Thoreau. That means left and right! It takes two feet to make a monster. On another note, hopefully, Churchill is fighting academic corruption now that he is part and parcel of the academic machine as a tenured academicrat with life-time job security and health benefits. Unlike Churchill, I do hold a doctorate but do not have life-time job security, have no health insurance and am essentially blacklisted by academe… because I did not play the academic game when I was supposed to. Churchill was giving ONE Analysis about 9-11 and said that people will not wake up to the immoral policies of the United States government around the world. As a descendant of Irish immigrants I resent the second class status the Irish and the Catholics have gotten in America and that President Bush who knows nothing about history is about to lecture Gerry Adams of Ireland about the Irish people's struggle for total and true independence from the same lineage of people who maassacred the native Indians and stole the lands of which "Americans" now claim as their own. I am a proud native of the Celtic tradition and not of the Anglo-Saxon heritage. Yes, not everyone is of actual Anglo background as the big lie in Amrica and that Americans have. I reject the Anglo attitudes of superiority. Everytime phony people claiming their Irish heritage mouthing off like O'Reilly and Hannity I say give me the barf bag. Real Irish patriots would not look at Hannity or O'Reilly before they would spit on them.
