An eviction notice was posted on a gate of the largest urban community garden in the United States on Wednesday, March 1, 2006. According to the notice, the 14-acre farm in South Central Los Angeles–which is currently home to 300+ family plots planted with a variety of crops, including numerous traditional Mesoamerican plants–must be vacated by Monday, March 6, 2006.
